An old Chippendale-like frame, and missing home!

Many years ago, while shopping for brass in Pune’s famed Vishrambaug area, a friend and I decided to check out the handmade store located inside Vishrambaug Palace. I chanced upon a beautiful wooden mirror frame, heavily distressed, slightly cracked, very chipped. I stashed it away for a while. Now, I am thinking about it again, and here it is brought out of storage.

What do you think I should do with it? I have an idea…and I will start the process of refurbishing it pretty soon. What do you guys think I should do with it?

I am away from home, and missing my Pune home a great deal….Home, I will be back soon!

    • Thanks Nayana….I love them too! 🙂 In fact, the frame is being done up at the moment…it just got a thorough sanding, and will be primed next!

  2. I like the Interior designing very much! Thanks for posting!

  3. I love carved and ornate frames for mirror. I have few in my home. Paint will change the look of your frame. Waiting to see what color will your frame be…:-)

    • Hi Reshma, yes…it was a tough decision to paint…I actually love the texture and color of wood, but I think a painted one is more suitable to the aesthetics of my current home…thanks for stopping by the blog!

  4. Hey Sharon,
very nice frame and your home looks very contemporary then by painting it and putting mirror into it, will make your frame very new and ready to use.
