DIY: Give your switch plates a cool makeover

a makeover for the switch plates on Tinydecor

I am fed up of walking around with a wet cloth scrubbing stained switch plates and the frequency of having to do the clean up act when you have little kids who have always have something or the other dripping over their fingers is frustrating.

No wonder then, I was really excited when I saw a cool makeover for the switch plates on Tinydecor. The idea looks more apt for a kid’s room, though one could use the same idea all over the house if a neutral shade is used. All you need is a good quality fabric, glue and varnish to make cleaning easy. Click here for a step-by-step instruction and tell me if you like the idea.

  9. Hi! You could also take off all the switchplates, line them up, prime them with a spray primer and with a nice inexpensive artist brush, color it with the base paint on the walls. Let dry and put back on — it looks really clean and nice. Just a thought to share… 🙂
