A cosy weekend at home

This is our last weekend together here in Pune for a few weeks. Next week daughter and I are off to the family homes. There’s a wedding in the family. We will meet my husband twice during our time away, but nevertheless, it was our last weekend together in this home until our return sometime in mid November.

Saturday was busy as usual, but Sunday we decided to stay indoors (actually, it was raining and we didn’t really have much choice)..
Here are some pics of the lunch I cooked – I wanted it to be quick but special, and I cooked as we were watching a movie.
Garlic fried rice adapted from this recipe courtesy Cook Curry Nook

Healthy version of cauliflower manchurian also from Cook Curry Nook

..and this Shepherd’s Pie (family recipe) made in association with my daughter whose
main contribution was decking it up with blobs of melted cheese 🙂
It all turned out delish, if the cook may say so herself!:) In the evening, we snacked on Bhel Puri made with Haldiram’s Bhel Puri mix…yep this weekend was all about food! 😉
This post goes out to Patty who had a bitter-sweet weekend. I am also participating in her Weekend Wrap Up event!
